Typically we think of ground covers as just leaves. But a number have added value – flowers. Among ground covers that bloom are bugleweed (Ajuga). creeping phlox, Dianthus (pinks), green-and-gold (Chrysogonum virginianum), lily-of-the-valley, Liriope, Pachysandra, spotted dead nettle (Lamium), and Vinca.
