Other groups that fight domestic abuse

Web of Benefit is one of many organizations providing resources to combat domestic violence in the United States. Others include:

• The National Domestic Violence Hotline (thehotline.org, 800-799-SAFE [7233]) provides crisis intervention and information to victims of domestic violence, perpetrators, friends, and families, including referrals to more than 4,000 shelters and domestic violence programs nationwide.

• The National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ncadv.org) works to eliminate domestic violence, empower battered women and children, and educate the public.

• The Domestic Abuse Helpline for Men and Women (dahmw.org) provides crisis intervention and support services to victims of intimate partner violence.

• Safe Horizon (safehorizon.org) provides 57 shelters in New York City and support for victims outside that area.
