Kate Middleton, known as the Duchess of Cambridge, today announced the first five organizations she will support as a royal patron.

East Anglia’s Children Hospices serves children and other young people who have been diagnosed as having life-threatening conditions. It provides help not just in its hospices, but in the patients’ communities or in their own homes, if desired.
According to MSNBC, the Duchess of Cambridge has expressed a particular concern for issues facing children and young people. The selection of a children’s organization has once again prompted comparisons to Prince William’s mother, Princess Diana, who was known for her charity work.
