Since the Pirates play at PNC Park, named for the bank that Rohr has led so successfully, it seemed natural to honor him upon his retirement. In a profile piece in Pittsburgh magazine, Rohr is described as “a mosaic of different leaders we’ve known,” a mix of philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, ethical team owner Dan Rooney of the NFL Steelers, and a “liberal sprinkling” of children’s TV personality Fred Rogers of “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” fame.
