Lady Gaga will perform the first single off her new album 'ARTPOP' live for the first time during the VMAs. Lady Gaga recently released her new song 'Applause' a week early after it was leaked online.

Gaga will perform the first single from her upcoming album "ARTPOP" live for the first time at the awards ceremony.
The singer is no stranger to the VMAs; aside from attention-grabbing performances of "Paparazzi" and "You and I" at past ceremonies, she's won 13 Moonmen statues in years past.
She recently declared "a pop emergency" when she released her new single "Applause" on Aug. 12 after it leaked online. "Applause" was scheduled for an Aug. 18 release and the full album, "ARTPOP," will come out Nov. 11.
