PlayStation Move review

4. Looking ahead

Sony
Heavy Rain will get a free patch that adds PlayStation Move support.

While fun, none of the launch titles really fulfill Sony's promise that Move is for the hard core. But discontented gamers need only look to the horizon.

Heavy Rain, a fantastic game from earlier this year, will receive a free patch this fall that completely retools the interface to support motion controls. If you missed Heavy Rain the first time, the PS3 exclusive is part next-generation adventure game, part player-driven movie. Unlike most Move games, this one is for adults only. Heavy Rain's "mature" rating does not denote flagrant violence and sophomoric sexuality. This noir game still contains murder and nudity, but it treats them as a sophisticated movie would – as an adult would. Check out our review roundup for more.

The upcoming SOCOM 4, Little Big Planet 2, and Killzone 3 – all sequels to quality games – will also receive Move support. SOCOM arrives this Fall, according to Sony. LBP2 hits in November. Killzone will deploy in 2011.
