In Maine, Sunday River ski resort hosted its 9th Annual Santa Sunday on Dec. 7, where over 200 people dressed up to help raise money for a local charity. The Santas could ski and snowboard for free as long as they were dressed in costume. Turkey’s largest city was divided on Sunday by competing shows of force, between Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who staged a mammoth rally of loyalists, and anti-government demonstrators, who clashed with police on Istanbul's streets once again to protest his rule.
