Heiress Paris Hilton had her newest pet on her shoulder in this November 2005 photo. Ms. Hilton got a mammal called a Kinkajou, which are primarily active at night and have a wide range of calls. Kinkajous however, are not easily trained. In August 2006, Hilton's kinkajou, named Baby Luv, bit the socialite's arm. With the current economic crisis, many owners of large cats cannot afford to keep them, and they are turned over to sanctuaries or other organizations willing to help with the animals.
