With Independence Day landing on a Thursday this year, it looks like shoppers will have this entire week to cash in on July 4th sales on in-season items. Additionally, we found an excellent mattress sale (contrary to the overall summer trend), deals on electronics and their accessories, and more.

1. Musicians's Friend July 4th Doorbusters Sale

Discount: Up to 90% off
Shipping: From $3.49 s&h or free shipping on orders over $25
 Expires: July 4

Recommended: 10 best books of July 2013, according to Amazon's editors

Is It Worth It?: Now is the time to outfit the entire band before the big "The Stars and Stripes Forever" rendition! Head to Musician's Friend and hear the sweet sound of savings during their July 4th Doorbusters Sale, which takes up to 90% off select items and qualifies for first-chair as it's one of best sale we've seen from Musician's Friend so far this year.

2. US-Mattress 4th of July Sale

Discount: 50% off with up to an extra 40% off
 Shipping: Free shipping
 Expires: July 4

Is It Worth It?: Although it might be worth waiting until Labor Day for even better bedding deals, two months is a long time to sleep poorly on an old mattress, especially when US-Mattress's 4th of July Sale takes a flat 50% off and then up to an extra 40% off select sleepers. This sale beats out our May mention and offers some of the best discounts we've seen on these mattresses, including the Sealy Posturepedic Solon Firm Full Size Mattress (pictured) for $469.

3. Sears 4th of July Sale

Discount: Additional 5% to 15% off department sales with an extra $5 off via coupon code "VALPAK5" or an extra $35 off on orders over $300 via coupon code "SEARS35OFF300AFFILIATEDEALS"
Shipping: Free shipping via Shop Your Way Max
 Expires: July 5

Is It Worth It?: From tool storage deals to patio furniture to lawn mowers, and beyond, Sears should be your one-stop shop this Independence Day: You'll save between 5% and 15% off entire departments of goods, plus you can increase your savings by up to $35 with the aforementioned coupon codes. This 4th of July sale at Sears is something to celebrate as it's among the better such general sales we've seen from Sears recently.

Note that the coupons don't stack. Not a Shop Your Way Max rewards member? It's free to sign up for a 90-day trial; otherwise, shipping starts at around $6.

4. newegg Independence Day Bargains

Price: From 97 cents
 Shipping: Free shipping
 Expires: July 4

Is It Worth It?: Electronics aren't typically associated with Independence Day, but newegg is discounting a selection of hard drives, monitors, headphones, peripherals, during its July 4th sale, with prices starting at under a buck. This is the best deal we've seen from newegg in recent weeks, and it yields several price lows on an assortment of electronics and associated wares.

5. EverydaySource Independence Day Sale

Discount: 15% off via coupon code "MINDEPDAY13"
 Shipping: From $2.99 s&h
 Expires: July 5

Is It Worth It?: Representing another Independence Day electronics sale, EverydaySource is taking 15% off sitewide via coupon code "MINDEPDAY13". This offer tanks among the best sitewide discount we've seen from this store and puts a variety of accessories smartphones cases and video game controllers, USB car chargers, screen protectors, and more, at very low prices.
