Engaging your smartphone while communicating with a customer, client, or prospect sends a message that they are not the priority.

The same message goes out when you are talking to anybody. If you even sneak a peek at it while talking to someone else, you’ve given that smartphone a higher priority than the person with whom you’re talking.
