Ever wanted to impress your friends by speaking a few words of Dothraki? (For those not familiar with "Game of Thrones," that would be the language spoken by the nomadic horse riders known as the Dothraki in the popular HBO TV series.)

HBO and Living Language are teaming up to create a course on Dothraki that will be released on Oct. 7, according to Publishers Weekly.

The course will reportedly include “more than 500 [Dothraki] words and phrases” and “never-before-heard material and words coined exclusively for the Living Language Dothraki course,” according to a statement from HBO and Living Language. There will be a mobile app, an audio version with a language guide, and an online course with extra material.

Those who take the course will also be able to navigate the (fictional) Dothraki society with ease.

“Like a traditional language course, users will learn vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation and even cultural notes, which lay out context as well as dos and don’ts,” HBO and Living Language said.

The language course will be especially interesting because, until now, only one person knew how to speak Dothraki. When the “Thrones” TV series was created, linguist David J. Peterson made up the language for the show. There had been only brief glimpses into the tongue of the Dothraki in the "Song of Ice and Fire" books by George R.R. Martin, the series on which "Game of Thrones" is based.
