Reader recommendation: The Divine Comedy

Every spring, I reread Dante Alighieri’s masterpiece, The Divine Comedy, beginning with “The Inferno.” I usually complete all 100 cantos in 90 days. I hold to my habit because a favorite professor once told me, “It is [the West’s] best poem by our best poet.”
