Reader recommendation: Mansfield Park

One dictum for fiction writers over the past half-century has been "show, don't tell." Tell that to the imcomparable Jane Austen, who "tells" all in Mansfield Park. Its texture is thick, thereby slowing me down. Consequently, I read more closely than is my custom, and remember now in detail the very different sisters and their unusual families. S'wonderful.
