The Long Goodbye
Reading Raymond Chandler's The Long Goodbye is the perfect antidote to overdosing on too much run-of-the-mill contemporary crime fiction. Chandler certainly knew how to throw a literary punch, and Marlow\'s adventures in this 1955 Edgar Award Winner are a rib-cracking combination to the reader's solar plexus. You know you've gone a few good rounds with a first-class heavyweight when you have spent an evening with Chandler.
