Elissa's Quest

By John Eaton, Greenfield, Mass. / September 11, 2009

I'm reading Elissa's Quest, a fantasy for young teens by Erica Verrillo. I'm not in that age range but I have two daughters who are. I have to say this is a truly enjoyable book. The imagery is vivid and the characters likable. Kids will love Elissa's adventures and the talking animals and parents will appreciate the underlying ecological message and the strong morality of the heroine. I can't recommend this book highly enough.
