Rain of Gold
Rain of Gold by Victor Villasenor. This is a non-fiction account of the author’s ancestors, primarily his parents, and the difficulties they encountered at the hands of banditos & war in Mexico. The families settle in southern California during prohibition. At the end, his father Salvadore, a bootlegger, marries the beautiful Lupe. A remarkable story, and rather well-written.
