Amazon editorial director Sara Nelson shares her thoughts about the 10 best books of July, according to the editors at Amazon.

2. "The Impossible Lives of Greta Wells," by Andrew Sean Greer

of

Greer, who is also the author of books including "The Story of a Marriage," spins the story of a woman who undergoes treatment for depression which lets her see what her life might have been like in different periods of history. "It's a ... book about hope," Nelson said of the novel, and notes that the relationship between Greta and her recently deceased brother, whose death is part of the reason Greta seeks treatment, is particularly well-done. "It's a lovely relationship," she says.
