2. 'Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt,' by Chris Hedges

Pulitzer Prize winning writer Chris Hedges and award-winning cartoonist/journalist Joe Sacco combine their talents in "Days of Destruction, Days of Revolt," a graphic novel that seeks to identify America's "sacrifice zones": the places in the US where the land and the people who live there are viewed as less valuable than making more money. Hedges and Sacco take readers everywhere from abandoned coal mines to the blighted streets of Camden, NJ, to the recent protests at New York's Zuccotti Park.
