10 books by and about Keith Haring
On what would have been his 54th birthday, here are 10 books filled with the spirit and work of the influential artist.
2. 'Against All Odds,' by Robert Hobbs and Steven Nash, edited by Mark Coetzee
"Against All Odds" is released through the Rubell family, who were acquainted with Haring and bought some of his artwork after attending one of his exhibits. Many of the Haring pieces they own – some of which had never been seen before publication of the book – are included. "Odds" also features work by other artists, including Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, to lend context to Haring's work.
