(PBS Independent Lens, Oct. 16): If you reverently fold back The New York Times to solve its daily crossword puzzle, this delightful documentary about the paper's puzzle creator, Will Shortz, will certainly entertain and possibly help in future puzzles. For the nondevotee, this window into the world of passionate puzzlers will be an eye-opener about the joys of language code-breaking and the folks who love it, including President Clinton, comedian Jon Stewart, baseball players, and musicians.
