Playpens for men

Yeah, we're fine with the blurred gender roles of modern times. But we still beat our chests over Sam Martin's book Manspace: A Primal Guide to Marking Your Territory (Taunton Press, Oct. 17). Mind the wet paint

Want to create a MySpace page, but don't know how? Like to try a Wiki (a site where like-minded folks can share and edit one another's info)? How about a blog? How about all that stuff in one place, with a fun, easy way to do it all? That's what www.wetpaint.com does. It's not the first site to put all that stuff in one spot, but it is the slickest and easiest to use.

Better than Cliffs notes...

Literature lovers will swoon over a new DVD set: Motion Picture Masterpieces, which includes the not-true-to-the-book but entertaining classics "Pride and Prejudice" (1940), "A Tale of Two Cities" (1935), "Marie Antoinette" (1938), "David Copperfield" (1935), and "Treasure Island" (1934). Retailing at about $35, it's a great value.

Packed with sharp-as-cleats insights and literary lions (paper and otherwise), this collection boasts classics from Sports Illustrated's pages, including Frank Deford's for-the-ages profile of an unknown coaching legend at East Mississippi Junior College.

The original rocket man

When Sen. In Moments That Changed Us: John Glenn, on American Life TV Network, Oct. 15 at 8 p.m. ET, Senator Glenn's recollections will have you orbiting your TV.
