Venezuela - Energy ministers from Venezuela, Brazil, Bolivia, and Argentina to discuss building a South American pipeline.

Thursday, June 8:

Norway - Peace talks are tentatively planned between the Sri Lankan government and Tamil Tiger rebels. The talks are aimed at bolstering the monitoring of a shaky cease-fire. Fighting has killed an estimated 374 people since the beginning of April.

Washington - President Bush meets Chile's first woman president, Michelle Bachelet.

Friday, June 9:

Germany - The World Cup soccer tournament kicks off in Munich and will last through July 9.

Camp David - Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen meets President Bush.
