Parental Discipline

Education seems to be in trouble. I have been teaching for more than 30 years, and I now run a small private school - pre-kindergarten - on my farm in Indiana.

Money is not the problem in our area. The problem is that the teachers can't discipline the students. But the children haven't changed - their parents have. It seems the children are running the world and the lawyers are backing them up!

I have long been a subscriber to The Christian Science Monitor and I like to think it is influential. You have done many things that have helped wake people up. Now if only you could awaken readers to the fact that teachers aren't to blame. Rather, they can't discipline without fear of being sued.
