Rain in November

It's easy to fall asleep when rains glaze windows and trees, when winds mimic ocean storms, making bed feel snug and warm. As if we're children rocked to sleep, hummed to, lulled on someone's knees, it's hard to rise to one's full height in the rain from dreams like these.
