An Aug. 28 article, ''Chinese youth make up for lost time,'' referred to a Monitor article that appeared last fall. Sept. 12, 1983, was the date the article ran in the Monitor's weekly international edition. It appeared in national editions July 22, 1983, entitled ''A streak of individualism emerges in China's youth.''
