Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

In the last part of a five-part series titled ''Saving our Cities'' on June 1 , a statistic was misstated due to an editing error. The sentence should have read: The National Urban League's 1984 report notes that 83 percent of the children born to nonwhite teen-agers are illegitimate.
