Sale of new radar system to Israel is sought by US

The Pentagon plans to sell Israel a new radar system used by US forces in Lebanon to detect the location of hostile artillery. In a formal notice to Congress Wednesday, the Pentagon proposed selling Israel seven Firefinder radar systems, together with spare parts, for about $87 million.
