The night's for sleeping, right? At least that's what workers at an electronics factory thought. For more than 16 years they slept through their night shifts in secret bedrooms built in the walls and ceilings. They're still on the job - but their foremen were fired. A court has rejected the appeals of the foremen, who claimed the firings were unfair. But the Plessey Semiconductor plant at Swindon in western England argued they were responsible for all activity - or lack of activity - on their shifts. The secret sleep cells were discovered by outside contractors working in the factory.
