Off the schoolhouse wall

Windows may be distractions, but remember how it was? Birdsong drifted on the air; the sky was azure gauze. A passing fire engine gave a stimulating pause to recitations . . .

Time may prove whenever students gaze out windows tensions are released for more productive days. (We dreamed out windows once, and still, somehow, collected A's!)
