A Train Journey

By

We clamber in and shut the door. The whistle blows and off we go! We pass the houses of rich and poor; We pass the cars - they are so slow! A horse tries racing the train, He tries again, again, again! Listen now, a different song! Ratatatat, ratatatat, We're going over a bridge so long. Some children on a meadow green, Wave and smile as soon as we're seen. What's this? Why does it hiss? It's starting to slow. Isn't there still a long way to go? We pull into a big station. Here we are. . .our final destination!
