Colombian novelist wins Nobel Prize

Colombian novelist Gabriel Garcia Marquez won the 1982 Nobel Prize for Literature for his novels and short stories, which combine fantasy and reality to depict the life and conflicts of South America, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences announced.
