Stocks bounced back last week in the start of what some analysts were hoping was a summer rally. The Dow Jones industrial average pushed up 14.46 points, closing at 803.08. Even though interest rates were climbing at the same time, analysts noted that the market was way oversold. Also, some investors began anticipating a recovery in profits later in the year. NLT Corporation was active last week. It is the subject of a takeover attempt by American General Corporation, which NLT is also trying to buy. It is dubbed the ''Pac-Man'' takeover.
