Polish military rulers ease martial-law restrictions

Polish authorities have lifted the overnight curfew in the northern port of Szczecin, reimposed after street clashes between security forces and supporters of the suspended Solidarity union May 3, state radio said Saturday.

Poland's military rulers said the main tasks of martial law had been completed. Also announced was the release of another 257 internees out of a total of some 2,000 still being held.
