The Eye

If thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee -- m Nietszche If the eye were not something sunlike itself, it could never see the sun -- Goethe If one eye sees the universe, the other, the eternal depths -- if the choice is mine, which one, which one: to view the abyss or see the sun? And if, as Eckhard said, ''The eye with which we see God is the same as the eye with which God sees us --'' of all I see, may it always be with the eye that sees eternity.
