Jamaican prime minister talking with US creditors

Jamaican Prime Minister Edward Seaga is in the United States, where he will have talks with his Island's creditors, government sources said. He is due to sign an agreement with a consortium of banks in New York today (June 7) providing for $70 million in new loans to Jamaica. He also hopes to formalize the refinancing of $103 million of debts falling due over the next two years.
