Murder charges piling up in Yorkshire Ripper case

Peter Sutcliffe, the truck driver arrested in December by police hunting a mass killer nicknamed the Yorkshire Ripper, will face 13 charges of murder and 7 charges of attempted murder, a court was told. Mr. Sutcliffe was charged last month with the killing of a student in November.

The public prosecutor told Dewsbury magistrates court in Yorkshire that he would be charged with another 12 counts of murder and 7 counts of attempted murder when he appears in court next week . The hearing was set for Feb. 20.
