Supply mounts and threat of gas shortage fades

Stocks of gasoline are at near-record levels nationwide, possibly leading to an end of fuel shortages and rising prices, a respected oil-supply analyst says. According to Dan Lundberg, who publishes a weekly gasoline survey, supplies of crude oil from overseas were expanding and American refineries have been producing more gasoline than the public has been using.
