Top 7 dumb times to use a smartphone

1. While driving anywhere

In this 2009 file photo, a man is texting on a cellphone while driving on a Los Angeles freeway. The use of cellphones while driving has contributed to a rising number of crashes, injuries, and fatalities, the federal government says.

Topping the dumb list is the use of a smartphone anytime you are driving or operating any kind of machinery. Taking your eyes off the road to even glance at a text message or a newly received e-mail is taking your life into your own hands, or worse, the life of others. Be sure to set the right example, be smart, and never succomb to the distraction of a smartphone while you’re behind the wheel.

Use this wonderful invention as it was intended to be used. You'll be more effective, more productive, and more efficient.
