Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.

I've been considering my own final wishes in regard to resuscitation and end-of-life issues. I heard an interview with Katy Butler on NPR and picked up her book Knocking on Heaven's Door: The Path to a Better Way of Death. It is a very eye-opening and sensitive treatment of these issues as experienced by one family. I highly recommend it.
