Reader recommendation: Brave Genius

Monitor readers share their favorite book picks.

Brave Genius by Sean Carroll takes the reader back to the time of World War II, the French Resistance, and two Nobel laureates, a French microbiologist and a French-Algerian author. This well-documented book tells the story of the daring of these two men during world upheaval. Jacques Monad and Albert Camus survived and enabled many others to thrive and survive. It's an amazing read.  I came across this book after hearing the author interviewed on NPR's "Science Friday."
