2. 'Dark Matter,' by Blake Crouch

This sci-fi thriller by bestselling "Wayward Pines" author Crouch tells the story of Jason Dessen, a middle-aged quantum physicist who is kidnapped and finds himself in a very different life than the one he thought he had. Which of his experiences is true? "This book will be really big, I think," Schluep says, adding that it has many "twists and turns."
