7. 'Essentialism,' by Greg McKeown

"Multipliers" writer McKeown addresses the problem that is all too common today: being stretched thin. In his book, McKeown urges readers to pick the right tasks to complete and forget the others. Those who do so will then be able to complete those tasks that are necessary in the best way possible. "It's about clutter both mental and actual," Nelson says of the book. "[It's saying] we need to strip down to the essentials of life."
