Adam Nagorny, a Ukrainian who agreed to work for the Nazis, served as an SS guard at the Treblinka I concentration camp. An investigation into his case was only opened in February, when witness testimonies for Demjanjuk’s trial revealed Mr. Nagorny’s identity, the Associated Press reports.
A former guard accused Nagorny of participating in the shooting of 3,000 inmates. Prosecutors are now reexamining witness testimonies to see if they can be used to issue charges against him. He admits to having served in an SS camp. He is now living in Germany.
