A $2,000 bill incurred at a lesbian bondage club in West Hollywood, CA in February 2010 wasn’t Steele’s fault. He did not attend the club or know of a staffer’s plan to attend – but it happened under Steele’s watch, and thus added to the narrative of mismanagement at the RNC. The RNC staffer who was at fault was let go, and the RNC was reimbursed. The staffer had been accompanying young donors to the club after an official RNC event in Los Angeles.
