Gallup poll: Top 5 men and women admired by Americans

Here's an accounting of who earned the Top 5 spots for men and women in a 2010 Gallup poll.

2. George W. Bush and Sarah Palin

Republicans carried the former president and Ms. Palin to the No. 2 spots, with Mr. Bush winning 5 percent of the vote and Palin garnering 12 percent. Bush was the pick of 11 percent of Republicans, 3 percent of independents, and no Democrats. Likewise, Palin was chosen by 26 percent of Republicans, 7 percent of independents, and no Democrats.

Palin also held the No. 2 spot last year, as did Bush.
