I am enjoying The Living, a novel about the northwest US in the 19th century by Annie Dillard. Her descriptions of life pioneering in the Washington-Oregon area are quite graphic.

Our name is about honesty. The Monitor is owned by The Christian Science Church, and we’ve always been transparent about that.
