Eoin O'Carroll is a staff writer for The Christian Science Monitor's science, technology, and environment desk.
He began working at the Monitor in 2005 as a web producer on the Monitor's online editorial team. In 2007, he began writing a biweekly column on climate change, and, the following year, launched the Bright Green blog, a daily update on environmental topics.
After helping with the Monitor's historic print-to-web transition in 2009, he began editing the Monitor's Science section, quadrupling its web traffic. More recently, Eoin worked as an editor on the Monitor's Rapid Response Team, where he coached early-career journalists in writing and web production.
Eoin holds a Master's degree in journalism from Boston University's College of Communication and a Bachelor's degree in philosophy from Wesleyan University.
