When the credits roll at the end of "United 93," a nonsensationalistic, nonsentimental tribute to the aircraft passengers who fought back against their hijackers on Sept. 11, it's striking just how many air traffic controllers were enlisted to play themselves, essentially re-creating the events they experienced firsthand. Their presence lends a veracity to the cinéma vérité style of the docudrama, easily the year's best film to date. The DVD's extras are a cathartic reprieve following the film's sober conclusion. Filmed interviews with family members suggest that many of them have healed considerably in recent years. The disc includes a eulogy for each passenger and crew member. Grade: A
