The Westlake Village, Calif., market researcher polled 13,000 guests of hotels from 52 chains in North America on how satisfied they were with their stays. The highest-rated chains in the survey:

Luxury: Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts
Upscale: Embassy Suites Hotels
Midprice (full service): Hilton Garden Inn
Midprice (limited service): Country Inns and Suites
