Daisy, of 'The Dukes of Hazzard'

Daisy Duke was the eye- catching cousin of Bo and Luke Duke in the hit TV series "The Dukes of Hazzard" (CBS, 1979-85). Actress Catherine Bach became famous for Daisy's skimpy outfits, including her trademark shorts.

Ms. Bach says she enjoyed working on the series and was a driving force behind "The Dukes of Hazzard" reunion TV movie in 1997. When she looked for other work, though, she found herself typecast as a "sex babe in shorts." She acted in about one movie a year, including "Cannonball Run II" (1984).

Bach later landed a role as a widow running a South African ranch in The Family Channel series "African Skies" (1992-94). She spent four months a year on location.

Bach has worked as a spokeswoman for the World Wildlife Fund. She appeared before Congress in 1993 to support a bill to help rhinos and tigers.

Bach's agent says that although Bach continues to act, since her marriage to entertainment lawyer Peter Lopez in 1991 she has been devoting more time to her family. She and Mr. Lopez have two young daughters.
